We’koqma’q L’nue’kati is excited to announce the launch of new venture, Skye Communications, in partnership with the Province of Nova Scotia, Rogers Communications (Seaside) and Nova Scotia Power.
The goal of Skye Communications is to provide faster Internet speeds and increased reliability to We’koqma’q and surrounding areas, while being a driver for long-term economic growth.
Installation of infrastructure to support the Fiber-To-The-Home expansion project began back in May 2023. Construction and other preparations have continued since then as Skye Communication services are anticipated to be available later this year!
Residents of We’koqma’q and surrounding areas can enrol to be placed on the waiting list by completing the Priority Service form. Connections will then be made in priority sequence, and residents will be notified when the service is available in their neighbourhood.

Skye Communications is offering a special bundle package, being offered exclusively to residents of We'koqma'q and surrounding areas. Introducing our We'koqma'q Community Bundle! This exciting new package, only $149.99/month, will include the following services:
Seaside Internet, with download speeds up to 500Mbps, and upload speeds up to 50Mbps with a wireless modem.
Home Telephone, including Call Waiting, Call Display, Call Forwarding and Voicemail. Long Distance at $0.02 per minute to anywhere in North America. (Long Distance Plans: 300 minutes for $5, 750 minutes for $15, and 2000 minutes for $20.)

We will be reaching out to individuals who filled out our online “Priority Service Form” to make the necessary arrangements to register for TV, phone, and Internet service of up to 1 Gbps. This is by appointment only and you will be contacted in order of priority.
